Black and White Flower #9

This flower was a blast to make.  One thing I liked about it is that I could put so may pieces on for the first layer!  That made it quick to sew.


If you look closely at the back of layer one, you can see that the red stitches are fairly large.  I have been playing around a lot with larger stitch size and I think this is effective.


Here is the block with the final piece put in.  I really like the play on dots in this block.


And the back.  Even though it was a lot of layers this was easier to sew since I used poly thread instead of rayon.
