Free Motion Friday - Feathered Friends Block 4

I'm doing Helen Godden's Feathered Friends block of the month and this is block four.  The blocks are painted with Lumiere metallic acrylic fabric paints and then stitched in black thread.  I made a few alterations to this block and I love the way it turned out!

Here are the big paisleys with feathers and a circle inside.

Here are the medium sized paisleys.

At the top are the small sized paisleys adn then the silver moon of course.  Such fun stitching this.

I did some ovals on a string and then echoed them.  We also did some multipass flowers too.

Oh such fun!

I hope you get to quilt today!

  1. Your birds are gorgeous, Suzy! How durable is that fabric paint? Can it stand up to laundering? What about using it to paint canvas fabric for a handbag project? You've gone and put all these wild ideas in my head now... Ah, the dangers of Internet inspiration/temptation!!
